Sausage Gravy

1 lb ground pork sausage
2 Tbsp butter or margarine
4 Tbsp flour
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 tsp rubbed sage
salt and pepper to taste

1. In medium saucepan over medium high heat, cook and crumble sausage until nicely browned. Drain fat.

2. Add butter and melt. Add flour and mix in well.

3. Add milk and continue cooking on medium heat, stirring constantly, until creamy.

4. Add sage and salt and pepper to taste.

5. Serve over hot biscuits, english muffins or toast.
